Over 30 years of serving our community and those in need.
We will be closed for Christmas beginning Tuesday, December 23, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 6.
Matthew’s Closet is currently unable to accept donations as we are over capacity. We will resume accepting donations on January 20.
When Help is Most Needed
Matthew’s Closet, a ministry of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, has been providing clothing to those in need since 1991, regardless of their ability to pay. Funded in part by the sale of gently used clothing and housewares, we offer free clothing to individuals and families, especially essential winter gear for those relying on public transportation. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves warmth, dignity, and the opportunity to succeed, Matthew’s Closet remains committed to serving the community.
We accept referrals
To receive a referral for free clothing, a social worker, a case worker, a doctor, or a church needs to call Matthew’s Closet to schedule an referral appointment for you! (585) 232-5160
We are also a Thrift Shop!
Through sales of clothing, household goods, and books, we purchase socks and undergarments for our referral clients. While our mission is to ensure those that need clothing and support have it, we are a great source for things that you need or would like.
