Kids happy "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me." -- Matthew 25:36

What We Do

My name is Kayce Foster and I am a foster/adoptive parent and founder of Matthew's Closet. I've been involved in foster care for 5 years and the idea for Matthew's Closet came about due to my many placements coming into my home with just the clothes on their backs.

I realized having a clothes closet available for foster parents would be a great resource so the out of pocket expenses that foster families would face to outfit a new child or children wouldn't be so great. Matthew's Closet is available to provide assistance with clothing and other children's items to foster and kinship placements as they welcome children into their home that have been removed by the Department of Child and Family Services. We opened in the fall of 2013 and look forward to growing our program and helping the children and families in our area.
